Bluebooking Template

This is a template for formatting bluebooking. It’s simple!

  • You can title your bluebook however you like, but please ensure that the title ends with a dash, then your character’s (shortform) name, the word “Bluebook Session”, and the number of the session. Since we’ve never bluebooked before, we’ll call this “Session 1”.
  • I know I just said “ensure” but if you vary from this I’ll probably figure it out, no biggie.
  • The format for the body of the bluebook itself is extremely flexible: chatroom style, first-person or third person, dream sequence, retelling of events from your perspective, a scene that we didn’t get to see during the session, a scene that bridges this session with the next, or anything else!
  • If you plan on using someone else’s character, writing a bluebook about things that haven’t happened yet, or you’re just generally unsure, check in with whoever you need to: the person whose character you’re writing, or the DM.
  • Once you write your bluebook, let me (Lily) know and I’ll link it from the Bluebook Summary page and the relevant session summary pages, so everyone can read it.
  • (Sorry, no private bluebooks unless I pay 40 bucks, which I might do if we like this system.)
